Source: Bought by my father in Florence There is a label attached to her apron which reads Eros (I think), Firenze.
This is a plastic doll with movable arms and legs. Her facial features have been painted on. Her hair is drawn tight over her forehead and is split into two long plaits reaching down to her waist . The plaits are tied with red ribbons.
The doll is wearing a long skirt made of red cotton with a white cotton lining. The material has a pattern of small boxes and star-like forms in black and green. She has a long white voile apron over her skirt. She also has on a white high-necked blouse with short puffed sleeves. On top of this is a black bodice with red satiny strap and red crosses sewn on the front. She is wearing white cotton underpants.
She has a large straw hat on her head tied under her chin with a red ribbon, which also goes around the crown of the hat.
Her shoes are made of black plastic.
Around her neck is a white and red material choker.
